Sample Reading

I want you to know that praying for him as you have been, is a very powerful thing, even when we can't see the results, Great Spirit and the Angels are working on your behalf for John's good and yours too! Love is a real and effective energy, I want to encourage you to continue, because Spirit tells me your motives and intentions are in the right place.

Lets begin by taking a look at the present "status" from Spirit's point of view. I like to do that because we're often jaded by our own emotions when in a particular situation. So I like to have Spirit show me how things are really goin.:) I'll draw three Tarot cards:

The first: The 6 of Wands. This is a card that tells us about victory, about winning, and what happens when we don't "surrender" or give up on our goals. Next we see the Knight of Cups. This card represents to me the man you love. Lastly we have the Heirophant or Priest card. This signifies things like marriage, things that are "traditional" to you and your way of life, and keys to knowledge.

So what I see when I look at all of this together, is that you are winning this "fight" Jane. I KNOW it's hard, I KNOW that too often you feel frustrated and helpless and even angry because at times, nothing seems to change, and they may even seem to go backwards, but ya know what? You are FEELING the effects of spiritual battle going on in your situation. You can know by this that your prayers are all HEARD and nothing is too big or small to ask. So take heart in knowing that I see also a real desire in John to get better and be who he really IS inside. I would agree that he does love you very much and would be devasted to be without you. I'm not seeing an end to this marriage.

In a Celtic Cross reading we first see what your foundation is. This is described to us by the Chariot card. Direction, going right or left, and being in control of that direction. YOU are the driver of your own chariot.

Next we see what is causing or influencing your situation. This is described for us by the 9 of Cups, which talks about happiness an contentment. However not always just in the traditional sense, you see, John is having a hard time living up to what he KNOWS he should do because he's "content" to be and do as he has done for too long. Its as if there is a block of "contentment" laying accross that road that you're trying to drive the chariot down!

Now we will see what people or events will figure into your life and situatuion in the near future. This is the Devil card, not to be confused with a literal Devil, but a reference to guilt, fear, and being bound or addicted to a situation that's NOT healthy for us and very hard to break free from. This is what you need to fight my friend. Not so much the obvious addiction of John's addiction, but your temptation to feel guilty and be too compromising of what you know is the truth, and of what you need, because you LOVE him. I repeat, you are the chariot driver.

A quick look at the distant past is given to us by the Wheel of Fortune. The Wheel always turns, things always change, and yes, sometimes out of the blue and drastically all at the same time. Have you felt as if your life, your marriage, your husband, even yourself are very different from how you started? Do you feel as if THIS isn't what you started out to be or to have? Yes my friend, things have changed, he has changed, and so have you. But...even though the Wheel turned and continues to do so, you walk through these changes together, and what falls away...you really don't need anymore.

And now to peek at your recent past; what has been true but is falling away...The Ten of Pentacles appears here. This shows us a couple. They are surrounded by money, security, they focus on the material aspects of their life because they have, for whatever reasons, made that the top priority in their lives because they though they HAD to. But now...that feeling of insecurity and needing to put all their (your) focus on your financial situation isn't necessary anymore. One of the things you will both begin to focus on now, is your life and marriage on a more spiritual level instead of what you have or don't have materially.

Now, what is the ideal? What is the best you can hope to achieve? The 3 of Cups describes celebration, but more than that, a REASON to celebrate. This card often appears as an indication of an engagement or marriage, but its also true that in some marriages, there is a time of renewal and return to the love and joy that existed in the beginning. Its interesting to me that there are 3 cups in this image, because the number 3 is about "adding to", building upon something that is already there, the love that you ALREADY have. (Keep driving!:)

Lets see how you're doin, what effect YOU are having in the situation in question. The High Priestess is wise, very intuitive, strong, she knows when to watch and listen, and when to intervene. She has a knowledge and a maturity beyond her years. Some say, she can be overly sensitive or emotional, but that's because she feels and sees everything for what it REALLY is. You can trust this about yourself Jane, that there is no need to doubt yourself or lack confidence.

Lets see who else or what else has a major effect here; Now this interests me a lot because it is the Queen of Cups. Now there are several interpretations for this card, a woman who is loved, is loving, is IN love, or even just love itself. But in this case, Spirit tells me it is a female that John loves, and specifically, a daughter or tender-hearted child. I'm getting all kinds of feelings of guilt, love, regret, sadness, even a determination to prove something to her, a need to do that...this is a big part of what's eating at him and that needs healing. I feel alot of what he's feeling is unnecessary, that he's persecuting himself wrongly, blaming himself when he shouldn't. THIS is a big thorn that when extracted and healed, will produce much progress and just may get that block outa the way of your chariot!

Next we examine your hopes and fears, what is realistic and what isn't? The three of Swords is here to show us a heart that is pierced and bleeding. How could a heart live with being wounded so severely? What is this golden glow that comes from it still? There is a black cloud above it, but that cloud is lifted by the glow shining from the heart that still beats, that still lives, that still loves! How can this be? HOPE is the glow that keeps love alive, even more powerful than any wound could ever be. This is what faith...is FOR.

When you give attention to your fears, such as fear of loss or failure or even intimidation because of another, you give power to that person or thing over you and your life. When we see others excel who don't deserve it, and we feel the sword of resentment and disappointment pierce our heart, it drains us of our power and even our faith, if we let it. To know that this person or thing that has wounded us has what they wanted in the now, is to realize that they have their reward in a limited and superficial form. Rewards of this nature do not last and are fueled by superficial self gratification, like candy that tastes SO good but is soon gone forever. When you see this take place and are tempted to be wounded by it, feeling left out, know that the opposite is true for you, that YOUR reward may not be as tangible and as immediate, but will be much more substantial, long lasting, and nurturing to you and your life.

And the outcome? The 4 of Swords, rest, healing, peace...My dearest Jane...keep driving!:) You're almost there!

I also see that you may be taking a vacation together in the next month or so which will bring healing and refreshed energies for you both. Consider someplace quiet and secluded - a cottage or quiet place by the water - and/or a retreat type of getaway - if you can't pull this off together, then you yourself at least will liely benefit greatly from a day at the spa or in an alternative healing session. An invitation or opportunity will appear!

Look to August of this year - you already have a special sense of the events which will begin to unfold then - pay particular attention to sychroncities which unfold on the 8th and the 16th. When in doubt, pause - and allow your inner voice to speak to you! Smile as often as you can - it will bring harmony and abundance.

A white cat or other small animal will bring good tidings - keep your eyes and heart open for this! Also of significance will be vehicles - white, beige or gold in colour. The vibrations are good good good!
