Nestled in the natural beauty of Lake Scugog’s shores, the towns and hamlets of Scugog Township offer year-round delights to vacationers and day-trippers alike.

The area’s many friendly communities are home to a variety of fairs, festivals, and attractions offering fun and frolic for all ages. From the Renaissance Faire and Port Perry’s Summer Street Fest to Pow Wows, studio tours, fall fairs and Christmas festivities, there’s fun to be had throughout the seasons.

Take in the pretty scenery on a Sunday drive, enjoy some fresh fruits and vegetables at the roadside markets dotting the roads, and then stop in at Ocala Orchards Farm Winery to sample one of their 30 varieties of local wine.

For a taste of sophistication, take a stroll in picturesque downtown Port Perry and soak in the charming Victorian architecture while exploring some wonderful world-class shops and quaint boutiques. The Scugog Shores Historical Museum Village offers a chance to experience late 19th century living, and Port Perry’s Town Hall presents wonderful live music and theatre presentations. Great dining establishments abound in the area, and if you’re brave, you might want to check out the famous Ghost Road on Scugog Island.

The enticing waters of the Trent-Severn waterway welcome boaters, anglers and swimmers, while the Woodman cruises offer a relaxed way to take in all the breathtaking scenery from the comforts of her decks.

For a change of pace, the Great Blue Heron Charity Casino is the destination for some exciting gaming action, and Northwoods Exotic Zoo is the perfect outing for those who prefer the wild and woolly.
